Marley's Ghost

Kingston, Jamaica

Photograph | Downtown Kingston, Jamaica, 2018

A faded mural of Bob Marley clings to the crumbling wall of an abandoned building in Kingston, Jamaica. Sheet zinc hangs loose, echoing the fragility and resilience of the city’s memoryscape. This image captures the spectral presence of Marley as both cultural icon and ghost of a revolutionary past, lingering in the cracks of postcolonial urban life.
