Recommended Cyanotype Kit (UK)
I find this kit really useful, and it’s ideal if you don’t want to buy or store lots of chemicals, especially when you’re just starting out with cyanotype. It’s straightforward, reliable, and well-suited to home use or small workshops.

The Jacquard Cyanotype Sensitizer Set includes clear instructions and pre-measured chemicals that you just need to add distilled water to each bottle, and then you will be ready to create a UV-sensitive solution for cyanotype printing. After filling each bottle with distilled water, give them a good shake and leave for 24 hours.
When you’re ready to print, the two solutions are mixed in equal parts to form the cyanotype sensitiser.
The sensitiser can be applied to paper or fabric (not included) in low light. Once dry, objects or film negatives are placed on top, and the surface is exposed to sunlight or a UV light source. After exposure and washing, the process produces characteristic blue, monochromatic cyanotype prints. The kit makes a large number of prints and gives consistent results when used as directed.
As with all photographic chemicals, avoid ingestion, inhalation, and contact with skin, and follow the safety guidance provided.
